Dr. Alia Ammar has been an adult/geriatric clinical neuropsychologist for more than 15 years as a licensed practitioner in Illinois, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai. Dr. Alia Ammar received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Chicago in 2003. She completed her initial training in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Chicago Hospitals, residency in neuropsychology at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, and postdoctoral fellowship with select medical coursework in the neurological sciences at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in the Center for Cognitive Medicine. She specializes in the neuropsychological assessment of adults and seniors (age 18+) with traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, dementia, and neurobehavioral complications related to medical illness. She has also served internationally as the first aeromedical specialist in clinical neuropsychology for the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
Dr. Loren Hizel is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Florida. Dr. Hizel completed residency at the St. Louis VA and postdoctoral fellowship at NorthShore University Health System. Dr. Hizel specializes in neuropsychological assessment of adults and seniors (age 18+). He has training in assessment in several clinical populations, including patients with neurodegenerative conditions, movement disorders, neurological lesions, TBI, post-operative cognitive changes, and seizure disorders. He comes from prior private practice experience in Chicagoland.
